Affinity’s Advanced Diploma gives you a thorough foundation in the fundamentals of relationship therapy. It also takes you on a deep dive into some of the more complex aspects of relationship diversity and disruption. Themes of working with diversity and disruption are integrated into every module, with a focus on adaptive and self-reflective practice.
Our programme integrates an eclectic mix of modalities, including behavioural, cognitive, creative, humanistic, interpersonal, systemic and transactional analysis – to name just a few. We look at relationships in a holistic way: what’s going on biologically, psychologically and sociologically – from the past and the present. A truly integrative approach to relationship therapy.
We are proud to be accredited at Level 7 by the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT) and the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists.
Some of our key modules include:

2023 Programme
In one year, you will complete 20 modules over 11 weekends.
Learning will be through a blend of seminars, research, reflective enquiry and supported practice.
You can join us in person at our training centre in leafy Russell Square in Central London, or live on Zoom. With our Meeting Owl Pro – a 360-degree camera, mic, and speaker – we provide a truly collaborative hybrid learning environment.
Together, we will examine the most up-to-date research and innovation. You will discover tools and techniques that can be easily adapted to meet the diverse needs of each and every client. We also help you to learn how to adapt to disruption in the therapy room and within yourself. With every module, you will grow in confidence as a relationship therapist.
The first two training weekends are three days: Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The rest of the weekends are Saturday and Sunday.

Affinity’s Advanced Diploma in Contemporary Relationship Therapy fills in the blanks from previous couples therapy training, but would also be great as a standalone course.
It’s gripping and fast paced from the start. Featuring up to date material and full of useful techniques and exercises. I am already putting into use with clients what I have learned so far. It is taught in such a way that will facilitate this, which is amazing and unique in my learning experience.
And it is impossible not to get swept up by the enthusiasm of the tutors. I cannot wait for the next weekend!
